Surge windows versus completed-trip mix

· Desktop Canvascore

Commercial teams set surge windows to balance passenger price and partner earnings. Ops teams see whether partners actually complete trips during those windows.

A simple cross-check

Take one surge window and ask:

  1. What share of requests in that window became completed trips?
  2. Where did incomplete attempts cluster?
  3. Did partners migrate toward the surged corridor or stay put?

If surge lights up a corridor partners cannot reach in time — due to bridges, tolls, or parking rules — the completed-trip mix will not match the commercial intent. That is a staging and messaging problem as much as a fare problem.

Fare Structure Check memos stay informational: they surface mismatches for your commercial and ops co-leads to decide, without pretending a memo can set Malaysia’s fare policy.
